Maxwell Crosby Azzarello, a 37-year-old man with a history of posting anti-establishment conspiracies online, set himself on fire outside of former President Donald Trump's hush money trial on Friday.

The incident occurred moments after Azzarello posted a video on Instagram in which he criticized the trial and expressed support for Trump. Witnesses said that Azzarello doused himself with gasoline and set himself alight.

Azzarello was rushed to Cornell burns unit in critical condition. The NYPD confirmed his identity.

Investigators are still looking into the motive for Azzarello's self-immolation. However, his history of posting anti-establishment and conspiracy theories suggests that he may have been motivated by political beliefs.

The incident has raised concerns about the potential for violence at political events. In recent months, there have been several cases of people being attacked or threatened for their political beliefs.

It is important to remember that violence is never the answer. Differences of opinion should be resolved through peaceful means.
